Meg & Bolt

My name's Meg. I'm 24 years old, & I've been competing and training in agility for 13 years. I'm currently finishing my final year of college and will be completing my MFA in creative writing at Emerson college next spring. I've written a number of short stories, some of which I've been sending to publishers and journals hoping to be published. I'll take comfort in the fact that even the greatest writers were denied dozens (hundreds) of times before they were published. I'll start to panic eventually. Graduating from Emerson requires that I turn in a thesis as well. For me that's a novel. So there's that. I'm excited and nervous to be out school-- mostly excited. I'll be more excited if something of mine is picked up before that point. I love taking photos in my spare time (which is shrinking faster and faster) too. I'd like to do more of it, but I'll take what I can get for now. Eventually I'll upgrade my camera.

Bolt is my two year old Sheltie. He never stops amazing me. He is known for his smile. We love agility. He's my hiking buddy & my best friend. We've traveled a lot together the last year. I'm super proud of the fact that he made it to tryouts before his second birthday. He placed in the top 10 & took 3rd in round 2. He earned his MX MXJ, qualified for the 2014 AKC National Agility Championships & World Team Tryouts in his first year of showing. I'm excited for our future together.
We've got big goals & I'm so lucky to have him by my side.
